A territory in the resurgence area, it has the fascination of bygone times, especially the picturesque village of Gradiscutta, with the mill mentioned by Ermes di Colloredo and Ippolito Nievo. Around the year 1000 the German Patriarchs of Aquileia helped Slav communities settle here to re-populate and farm the fertile land and invited the lords of Warm to follow them: these
S. Lorenzo: Virgin with Child built two castles which were then destroyed. Several noble residences and manor houses remain in the area, among which Villa Canciani - Florio (17th-18th centuries) is outstanding.
