Letting the gaze
roam on the
smooth surface of
the artificial lake
of Zul or along the
grassy slopes surrounding the
small villages is enough to
be aware that natural beauties
are the assets of the place.
Some examples of rural
architecture are worth
mentioning all the same
(such as the 'arched
porticoes' at Tramonti di
Mezzo giving access to the
microcosm of courts), rural
architecture that, where it has
survived maybe exceedingly
energetic 'restoration', is
still capable to blend both
aesthetic aspect and
functionality with the natural

surroundings. Interesting
religious buildings at
Tramonti di Sopra are the
parish church of
St. Floriano and the small
Neo-Gothic church of la
Salute, containing the recent
stations of the Cross and
frescoed Annunciation by
G.C. Magri. In the church
of Sant'Antonio at Tramonti
di Mezzo, a Virgin with
Child and Little St. John
belonging to the Veneto-
Emilian school is notable
(17th-18th centuries).
