Fertility of land and plenty of water have favoured settlements here since protohistory; substantial evidence, as the rustic villa of Casali Pedrina (1st century BC - 5th century AD), is referred to Roman times, linked to agricultural and brick production. Agriculture was the main
War Memorial of the First World War activity even in later ages, as witnessed by the noble residences built here between the 1600s and the 1800s (Villa Pancera at Chiarmacis, Villa Savorgnan, Milocco at Rivarotta and Palazzo Strassoldo at Driolassa), around which the typical rural villages developed with their churches. Among the latter, the octagonal-plan parish church (1727, Patriarch D. Delfino) of Teor has precious fittings, the parish church of Campomolle contains good quality paintings, and finally the parish church of Driolassa, where a beautiful 18th-century altar and the organ built by well-known Francesco Dacci are preserved. A curious popular tradition has it that the place name Driolassa is linked to Attila who left the village behind, namely "indrio", without burning it.
