The earliest
mention of the
place is to be
found in a 13thcentury
document
on a Pieve (rural parish
church) dedicated to the
Patriarch of Aquileia.
Today's Parish Church is
a late-Baroque building
(1738-62) with two altars
carved by F. Zuliani.
More interesting, in the

neighbourhood of San
Zanut, is the mid-17thcentury
rural church of
San Giovanni Battista,
with pleasant painted
fragments by Lampi, a
quite unknown fresco
painter. In the
neighbourhood of
Cassegliano, the
monumental neoclassical
Villa Sbruglio-Prandi
stands out in its large
park, with its tall
façade with Ionic
half-columns preceded by
trabeated -barchesse-
(warehouses).
