The artistic treasures of the place
are mostly contained in the two
most important religious buildings,
first of all the parish church of
San Martino, which on the outside
preserves fragments of a gigantic
St. Christopher by Pordenone (1518 ca.) and a
stone relief showing St. Martin's Charity
executed by Baldassarre da Meduno (who also
created the baptismal font). The same theme is
emphatically repeated inside on the altarpiece
by Pomponio Amalteo (Christ in triumph
among all Saints and SS. Martin, Stephen and
John the Baptist, 1549). Remarkable sculptures
are those of the Enthroned Virgin with Child
between SS. Filippo and Giacomo (1498-1504)
by Martino da Tolmezzo and the wooden
Crucifix (1519-1520) attributed to A. Tironi.
Pietro da San Vito is instead the author of the

which however come form another church,
which is considered the other casket of
treasures in the area, namely the church of
SS. Filippo and Giacomo at Arzenutto. Its
long nave is decorated with devotional frescoes
dating to various periods, among which the
lively 14th-century description of St. James's
Miracles is conspicuous, as it witnesses the
impact in Friuli of late-medieval pilgrimages.
Also the Virgin with Child with SS.

Sebastian and Rocco and two angels with candles by A.
Bellunello (1480 ca.) is remarkable. The apse
is instead completely covered with frescoes
by Pietro da San Vito, executed in 1515 and
portraying Stories of SS. Filippo and Giacomo
set within the theological-figurative
framework of Prophets, Evangelists, apostles
and Doctors of the Church, with the
narrative realism of the already-mentioned
Last Judgement in the background.
