In the municipality of S. Leonardo, many examples may be appreciated of rural architecture (at Prehod a house with rustic annexes is considered the most beautiful example of the whole
Parisch Church of San Leonardo Friulian Slavia) and of elegant votive small churches, as the churches of S. Andrea Apostolo and of S. Lucia at Cravero: the former, picturesque in its architecture, has a wooden altar (1670-1695) by Lukas Scharf, rich in statues, carvings and decorations and extending horizontally so as to fill the whole presbytery; the latter, has an as much sumptuous wooden altar by the same artist (1700-1710) and a vivid cycle of frescoes (1536) with scenes form Christ's Passion by Bartolomeo da Skofja Loka. In the parish church of S. Leonardo two paintings attributable to Innocenzo Brugno (Lazarus's Resurrection and St. Lucia) are worth a visit.
