The dominant landscape element, River Tagliamento, has played a crucial role in the productive and settlement choices of the area: it was, in fact, thanks to the presence of the river that in the Middle Ages hospices were opened for pilgrims, then, in later times, widespread reclamation works gave way to rice-fields and water-meadows, and finally, the presence of present-day high-water bed wood of Fraforeano. In the latter neighbourhood stands also the lovely Villa Barbarigo, De Asarta, Kechler (18th-19th centuries), a noble, elegant residence
St. Andrew's Martyrdom whose buildings, including rustic annexes, courtyard and a neo-Gothic family chapel (1901-1924), are aligned along the main road. Further south, a small chapel dedicated to Santa Sabida (16th-17th centuries) might be referred to the old hospice of Cavalieri di San Giovanni (St. John's Knights). In the 18th-century parish church (1743-1753) an exquisite altarpiece of the Veneto school is visible.
