The parish
church of
Resiutta was
rebuilt in 1990 on a
design by architect
Tiziano Della Marta on
the site of an existing very
old building already
mentioned in 1119 near a
Roman settlement, of
which several items were
found (coins, tiles,
weapons, urns, etc.)
A path

departing from the
bridge on Rio Serai in
the neighbourhood of
Povici di Sotto, crosses a
vast pinewood and reaches
the ancient
Borgo Cros, where the
few rural houses that
have survived the
earthquake are located.
From the rural district
plateau (about 800 m a.s.l.)
a great view of
Val Resia dominated by
the massif of Mount Canin
is enjoyed.

The pleasant hilly area of Friuli, the
strip of land running from Gemona to
San Daniele almost to reach the suburbs
of Udine, has always been, through the
centuries, subject to earthquakes: suffice
it to mention the appalling
earthquakes of 1348
