In the rural district
of Magredis the
votive church of S.Pietro, a small
15th-century building with bell
gable, preserves a cycle of frescoes
by Gian Paolo Thanner (1529) in the
presbytery and in the plinth twelve small
panels datable to the 1400s portraying the
twelve months
|

characterized by scenes
related to the key moments in Friuli
everyday life: sowing, harvesting and
threshing of wheat, killing of the pig and
other moments. In the parish church of
S. Clemente at Povoletto are a painting
by Michele Almonio on the choir wall
(1594), the high altar altarpiece by Pietro
Antonio Novelli (S. Clemente, 1795)
and a ceiling fresco by Domenico Paghini
(1824), who is also the author of
St. Martin's portrait in the church of
Ravosa. The parish church of
SS. Vito, Modesto and Crescenzia at
Grions del Torre has a wooden high altar
carved and painted by Bartolomeo Ortari di
Caporetto in 1703.
