If the church of
San Martino
preserves several
1600s and 1700s
works of art
(among which a Virgin with
Child and Saints, 1620 ca.,
by Palma the Younger), the
small church of

San Rocco
shows a fresco by M. Tiussi
(Virgin with Child among
SS. Rocco and Sebastian and
the donor, 1563), thus
introducing the Renaissance
devotional atmosphere: in the
perspective framework,
ample room is given to the
inscription explaining how
the donor came to give the
work. The cycle of frescoes
in the church of SS. Peter
and Paul (early 16th
century): the Doctors of the
Church, Evangelists and
Prophets, Fall of Simon
Magus show a striking
15th-century vigour that is
softened in the lively grottesca
decorations. Outside
are the remains of a
St. Christopher

the existence of fords
according to the typical
iconography of the area. In
the small church of Bolzano,
is a fresco of the Holy
Trinity and Saints Rocco and
Sebastian (1511).
