The chisel of
O. Marinali has
given the Church
of Sant'Andrea a
vibrating Christ on
the cross (18th cent.) whose
physical intensity is as
dramatic as that of the other
marble sculpture exhibited at
the Diocesan Museum of
Pordenone. The same
aesthetic emphasis and

tension is felt in the
fresco portraying Santa Lucia
taken to the brothel (1500 ca.)
in the Church of Santa
Lucia in Colle, in the
neighbourhood by the same
name, a piece by
Gianfrancesco da Tolmezzo.
The Church of Santa
Maria Maggiore at Dardago
shows an Assumption by
G.C. Bevilacqua (1823)
on the ceiling and a fresco,
formerly located in the
Church of San Martino,
attributable to G. Del Zocco
(portraying God Almighty,
Enthroned Virgin with Child
and Saints, 1565).

The landscape surrounding
Pordenone is lively and varied,

area of Polcenigo to the expanse

of the southern area.
The geographic, historical
and cultural
development of
the whole territory
