Arta Terme is a mountain tourist resort as well as, as its name implies, a spa where baths were built in 1962-64 on a design by Gino Valle, to which the new baths designed by Glauco Gresleri and Silvano Varnier were added in 1983-87. The parish church of Piano d'Arta contains graceful 18th-century altars (the high altar is by Giovanni Mattiussi with statues by
Torrent Chiarṣ and Val d'Incaroio Giacomo Contiero, while the side altars were created by Giacomo Pischiutti), a cycle of frescoes by Giovanni Battista Tosolini (1785) and wall paintings by Giovanni Moro (1937). The small 15th-century churches of S. Nicoḷ degli Alzeri and S. Spirito at Chiusini are interesting, too, the latter containing a notable Adoration of the Magi fresco dating from the second half of the 15th century.
